Teaser Tuesday - Jack Templar, Monster Hunter

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

~Grab your current read
~Open to a random page
~Share two (2) "teaser" sentences from somewhere on the page
~BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! ( make sure that what you share doesn't give away to much away! You don't want to ruin the book for others!)
~Share the title & author too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR lists if they like your teasers!
- Then go on over to Should be Reading and share your teaser in her comments section!

My teaser today is from Jack Templar, Monster Hunter.  I'll be reviewing the second book in the series (Jack Templar and the Monster Hunter Academy) on this blog on Friday, but for now, I'm sharing a fun teaser from the first book.  (Tell me what middle grade boy wouldn't love to read a book that says stuff like this):
Jack Templar, Monster Hunter (The Templar Chronicles, #1)

by Jeff Gunhus
"But I warn you (and this is a big warning), if you read this book, if you learn about the monsters who roam among us and the hunters who fight them, if you decide to learn the truth, then you will become fair game for the monsters to chase...And at some point, they will find you, just like they found me, and you will be forced to defend yourself."

    1. I really loved it! It's similar to The Percy Jackson series, but different enough that it didn't feel like a copycat.
